The Motorola MING A1600 has enough flair on its own that it doesn’t need to get all gussied up to attract attention. Apparently, Motorola (NYSE: MOT) didn’t get the memo.
Rather than concentrating on turning around their handset business by funneling research and development funds into new and innovative products, Motorola has put their efforts into creating a Motorola MING A1600 Luxury Edition that comes bundled with a Cartier business card holder. Motorola must think that business users have a need for faux crocodile- and gold-trimmed, gaudy handsets that scream “look at me!”
Still, if over-the-top embelishments are your cup of tea, the Motorola MING A1600 Luxury Edition will run you a solid $867 in Taiwan. The Cartier business card holder alone might be worth the price-tag.
