I've just this moment experienced a strange iPhone battery drain problem. I was browsing the web over 3G in Safari and the browser crashed whilst downloading data, freezing the entire phone.

Long press on either Home nor the Lock/Power button did anything so I had to reset with a long press of Home+Power. When it eventually rebooted it claimed my battery was less than 10% when it was almost full before I started browsing.

Battery drained in less than a minute? Without any obvious signs of overheating? Very strange.
