Nokia (NYSE: NOK) Music Store keeps expanding and now they are heading to Italy. The new store’s catalogue contains more than 4 million songs from both major and independent record labels, as well as new national talent.
Nokia Music Store focuses on the local market, strongly associated with the consumer, as more than 54% of the music that is sold in Italy is local. To achieve this, there is a team in each country to determine more closely the tastes of the relevant region. Its search engine enables the differentiation between genres such as Italian music, pop, hip hop and rock.
Individual tracks cost 1 EUR, whilst whole albums are generally 10 EUR. The unlimited streaming service costs 10 EUR per month.
Finally, it’s interesting to add this is Nokia’s 11th local Music Store. Previously the Finnish giant opened online stores in the United Kingdom, Germany, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Australia, France, Singapore, Spain and Sweden.
