Way back in August Will reported on the new Motorola Atila. The new device was said to be Motorola (NYSE: MOT)’s answer to the iPhone 3G. After a few months of waiting and speculation, new spy shots are coming out to prove that this touchscreen counterpart to the Motorola Alexander will indeed be a reality.

Key features of the Motorola Atila:

  • Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE
  • Tri-band UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA (850MHz/1900MHz/2100MHz)
  • 7.2Mbps HSDPA, 1.8Mbps HSUPA
  • 1130mAh battery
  • 2.8? QVGA 240 x 320 screen
  • Wi-Fi
  • Qualcomm (NSDQ: QCOM) 7201A chipset
  • Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional

Looks like a solid little device. Nice styling and form factor here… Although its a shame it has to run on Win-Mo 6.1 (jab). At least (according to the spy shots) it looks like you can theme up the device to look like an iPhone or BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM).
