The Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) XPERIA X1 represents the pinnacle of Sony Ericsson’s smartphone lineup. Indeed, the XPERIA lineup is the Japanese-Swedish handset manufacturer’s flagship brand going forward. And, with the innovative Sony Ericsson Panel UI, which offers multiple custom-homescreens tailored to your particular needs at any one time, running the show, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 will no doubt attract attention from developers around the world.

Facebook is the latest developer to throw their hat into the ring. The social network has branched out to offer widget-like applications for all manner of mobile platforms, and the Sony Ericsson Panel UI is their latest accomplishment. Facebook is now offering XPERIA X1 owners a Facebook Panel that serves up a dedicated Facebook homescreen.
The Facebook Panel automatically logs you in to your facebook account and shows your friends’ activity in an innovative “bubble-bump” setup that’s worthy of the XPERIA X1’s unique Panel UI. Upon logging in, your Facebook avatar is displayed in its own “bubble” in the center of the screen. Your friends’s bubbles then populate the display as they “bump” into your “bubble” - hence our technical term, “bubble-bump” (Facebook, you can go ahead and use that one if you’d like).

Hey…My Xperia hangs up with the new facebook panel. I installed it on the storage card, signed in, surfed through and finally when I click on the “Panel” button again, it hangs up… is there a reason for this or a solution?
Mine also hangs!!! Its frustrating, because it looks like it could be a very cool panel
I’ve often had trouble with apps and stuff loaded onto storage card, try the device itself.
