Netlog social network goes iPhone/iPod Touch

I’m not sure have you heard of Netlog, but apparently it’s very popular social network in Europe that has over 35 million registered users. And now they announced a native iPhone/iPod Touch app.

The application allows Netlog users to connect with new people, send and receive messages, upload photos, check and sign guestbooks and update their shouts. In addition, if a user happen to have a GPS-equipped iPhone 3G, he or she can share his/her precise geographical details with every status update.

Commenting on the announcement, Netlog’s CEO Lorenz Bogaert said: “Our aim was to combine the strength and popularity of the Netlog platform with the flexibility of the iPhone and iPod Touch. This takes us fully into the mobile age, and opens up the network to a wider range of on-the-go opportunities.”

The Netlog application is available in a number of languages (German, English, Spanish, Finnish, French, Italian, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish and (Simplified) Chinese) and can be downloaded free from the iTunes store.
