Verizon Drops Pricing on Samsung Omnia

samsung i900 omnia Verizon Drops Pricing on Samsung OmniaEarlier today Verizon (NYSE: VZ) dropped the price on the new Samsung Omnia, or should I say ‘iPhone Killer’ (haha, yeah right… I’ve heard that before!) only a week after the Omnia’s launch. The device was originally priced at $250 with the standard contract and $70 rebate. With this pricing update, you can get one on Verizon at a price point in-line with the BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) Storm and iPhone 3G. Starting today you can get the Samsung Omnia for $200 (including the same $70 rebate, and 2-year contract of course).

This win-mo device is the latest in a line of ‘iPhone Killers’ that have shipped to market. It is being touted as one of the top-sellers for Verizon for the holidays…by Verizon. No doubt they want to push these out the front door as fast as they can… Especially when you consider Verizon did lose a small number of customers to AT&T (NYSE: T) for the iPhone 3G over the past few quarters. Offerings like the Omnia and BlackBerry Storm at attractive price points is about all Verizon can do to try and lure those customers back…

Although, I would suppose actually having the iPhone 3G as part of their own lineup would be the real solution… But we all know that isn’t going to happen any time soon.

    Hello

Have you heard about Xpango, it’s a great site that give you free gifts for only registering to their offers and refferind friends, here you can get for free and a little work the Samsung omnia.

All you have to do is

    1. Register (is free)
    2. Chose your free gift (they have the best mobiles, game consoles, HDTV, etc)
    3. According to your gift selected you have to get the credits to win it, for example an xbox 360 for 13 credits or an unblocked Iphone 3G for 32 credits.
You can earn the credits by 3 ways
    a) Completing Offers (Some are for free and some you should buy something at great prices from the advertirsers), each completed offer gives you between 1 and 4 credits.
    b) Referring people. For each person that register using your referral id and activates it’s account (by completing one offer or buying xclix) you get one credit.
    c) Buying Xclix, it’s a way to refer people to Xpango using your referral Id.

As you see is very easy to win great prices here, you can see the testimonials to be sure that they really are honest, here I leave the link:

Specs are specs, but specs cant compete with great marketing and advertisement. It doesnt matter if a phone has a 20mp camera…you have to make your marketing and advertising such that EVERYONE wants one and EVERYONE has to have one!!! If your marketing department cant do this…it doesnt really matter how great your product is or what the specs are. Apple is doing a solid job of advertising and with the iPhone and iPod…EVERYONE wants one…its useless to compare specs with other phone…while they may be be great phones as well, Apple has created hit the ball out of the park with its marketing hype!!! That is what sells products….not specs. That is what is wrong with they other products…they are only focusing on the specs. Its just like with designer clothes….they are not made out magical fibers that are so much better than all the other brands, they create hype, style, function AND desire. Bottom line: it doesn’t matter what specs you bring to the table…if you cant make people want them…you won’t sell them.
