How the hell do you get the new option in V20.175 of showing caller’s name and number for incoming calls displayed.

I’ve HARD reset my N85-1 and still impossible to get it to show both callers number and name for incoming calls..

Help please.

Unfortunately I was too hasty in my verdict that all problems have been solved.

Now that my message inbox is displaying the names of contacts I am happier, however, since that different "format" (for lack of a better word)now replaces the standard number the phone can't tell which contact an incoming call is from, even when you save both types of number under the same contact.

At the end of the day I guess you'll just have to choose which you do more of, texting or calling and use the appropriate setup until nokia bloody fixes the issue.

i bought mine last March 13th and so far i haven't encountered any serious issue. My only problems were the wobbly slider, some saved contacts don't appear in the Log and the battery only lasts 2 days. However, after i upgraded my software, the battery lasts 3-4 days. So far, i love the phone just that the wobbly slider sometimes bothers me cuz it causes too much sound when the phone is in a vibration mode. Any way i can have the slider tightened?

I figured out an annoying and time consuming but simple way to fix the names not showing up without having to wait for a firmware update.

All you have to do is change the way every contact's number is stored in your phone to the area code version of the number. For example, I'm in Australia so every contact's number in my phone is now saved as +61400000000 instead of 0400000000.

Hope that helps some people out.

Im a new owner of a N85 and have just found out there is a fault with the contacts library for the phone, where the message inbox will not display the saved contact name when you receive a message from them. Will this update fix this? It is very frustrating.
