HP Mini 1000 netbook goes 3G, too

Two weeks ago we posted that Dell has added a 3G option for its Inspiron Mini 9 netbook. Now we have HP following the suit by allowing the same add-on for its recently unveiled Mini 1000. The only problem though is the price, which at $199 is kinda steep considering that the whole netbook costs $399.
The good news is that you’ll have an option to go either Verizon (NYSE: VZ) or AT&T (NYSE: T) route — select EV-DO or HSDPA modem — which ever suits you best.
Naturally, once you select the modem you want, you need to sign a contract with a carrier to use their network, but that’s whole another story…
