Telus BlackBerry Storm Coming this Week?

Select Telus (NYSE: TU) stores across Canada could be getting the BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) 9530 as early as Friday this week. With Monday’s launch party in Toronto, it seems entirely likely, though previous rumours pointing to a December 18th. shipping date. Heck, the Telus store in Toronto already has a live demo unit. Although the first touchscreen BlackBerry in Canada has generated plenty of buzz, Rogers (NYSE: RCI) was sly about getting their new Curve out the door just beforehand, and from what I hear, the 8900 shouldn’t have any stock issues whatsoever – something the Storm might not be able to guarantee. If you’re stuck with Bell, they’re supposedly releasing it in the same timeframe. Pricing sits at $249.99 with a three-year contract or $599 with no strings attached.
