Marble Trap Puzzle Game for BlackBerry from Nickle Buddy

By James Falconer on Saturday, December 13th, 2008 at 9:22 PM PST In BlackBerry, Gaming, RIM (Research in Motion)

Marble Trap is a brand new game for the BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) from the folks at Nickle Buddy. And it looks cool!

The purpose of the game as you’ll see in the video above, is to roll your marble into the hole at the end of the level. You tip and tilt the game board to get the marble rolling. Use the obstacles and blocks on the screen to stop the marble, and then roll the marble in another direction to navigate it to the hole at the end. Looks like a great puzzle game.

On the BlackBerry Storm you can use simple finger-swipe gestures, or the built-in accelerometer to induce movement of the marble. Gotta love multiple control options. Me? I’m thinking I’d be a swiper for sure. Love using swipe gestures for games… it just works for me.

I can’t wait for more games to pop up for use on the BlackBerry Storm. The use of finger gestures and the built-in accelerometer will no doubt give game developers more room to develop great games for the device.

Note: Other titles from Nickel Buddy include Solitaire Buddy Gold, Solitaire Buddy Classic, Blackjack Buddy Gold, Wordcaster and Pinstacker.
