palm logo Palm to Replace Andy Brown With Douglas Jeffries at CFOIn the midst of continuing troubled times for the company, Palm (NSDQ: PALM) has announced a new CFO for the company. Today Palm announced that they are replacing their current CFO Andy Brown with Douglas Jeffries. Jeffries will report as the new CFO starting January 7th… But until then you can bet he has a lot of work to do. I liken him to Obama stepping in to work with the current Bush administration.

Douglas Jeffries resigned as CFO of Pacific Ethanol Inc. earlier this year (in July). Before that gig he was the chief accounting officer over at at that little company known as eBay. The guy has some good credentials… Lets hope for Palm’s sake that he’s the real deal.

Talk about a crucial start to 2009 for Palm. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few more changes around the company as they make last minute moves to position for the new year. Times are tough, but with the right team in place, and a new Nova operating system on the way… I’m sincerely hoping Palm can pull out a big 2009… Or it may be end game for the company.
