Pandora Comes to Windows Mobile

pandora Pandora Comes to Windows MobileWhile rumours are gallopping in about Microsoft bringing their popular Zune music service to Windows Mobile, they’ll have to contend with other players, like Pandora, getting into the game. Pandora was one of the first big names in music discovery services, but they were also the first to deal with associated liscensing issues, so us up in Canada got deprived fairly early on. Subscription-based carrier deals with AT&T and Sprint helped bring Pandora to mobile, but hopefully open-ended initiatives like this can make it easier for international listeners to tune in. For now Pandora works with the HTC Touch and Motorola (NYSE: MOT) Q9C on Sprint (NYSE: S) and Verizon (NYSE: VZ), so unfortunately it’s still locked in to the U.S. – I guess I’ll stick with nuTsie in the meantime. Open www.pandora.com in your mobile browser to get started, or go to Pandora’s regular site for more info.

Too bad Pandora doesn’t support my PPC 6800 running WinMo 6.1. :(
