A new shipment of BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) Storms are coming in to Bell in the near future. If you’ve been waiting to snap one up since the initial flurry of activity on Bell (sold out in hours), you’ve got another chance now…

The BlackBerry Storm 9530 is available for purchase via the Bell website right now. They have ‘limited quantities’ available to ship immediately… so you might want to jump on this while they are still in-stock. You can get it for $249.95 on a 3-year contract with a minimum prerequesite $45 voice/data plan. Alternatively you can pick it up on no contract for $699.95.

I’m reserving more personal comments and judgements on the Storm until I can give it a more thorough walkthrough myself. I have tried and tested out the device… And my mom always told me… ‘If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all’. Keep in mind I am a ‘Berry Booster’, so that’s somethin’ for you to think about/chew on. I think I’ll wait for a next gen or an entirely new model of this device before I would ever consider picking one up. There’s a lot of wrinkles to iron out on the fabric on this one.

If you intend on picking a BlackBerry Storm 9530 up from Bell via their website… good luck!

I was surprised how smoothly mine was running after all the bad press. There are still a few kinks here and there, but nothing unexpected for such a leap in the OS.

I’m unhappy with the storm, it’s slow, glitchy and I HATE the click touch. There are times where you have to tap the icon to highlight it before pressing right down, which makes an extra step to do a simple function. I have found this phone extremely annoying. I’ve had it for less then 24 hours and I want to smash it against the wall.

Text messaging is annoying as the keyboard is too small, I have small fingers, I cant even imagine someone with chubby fingers.. I use an ipod touch for email and I whip through emails no problem with their touch screen. I personally will not be able to get used to the storm. I called Bell to try and cancel my service and they will not take the phone back and said if I cancel their dinging me $400.00 – I’ve been a customer for less then 24 hours. Bell service is horrible! I am heading back to Rogers. I hope RIM works out the annoyingness of the phone. KEEP IT SIMPLE!

To top it off, I have ZERO reception in Brampton. Inside, outside, in my car…you name it. 2 bars max. They tried to tell me it’s the phone, but when I drove into Mississauga I had full reception. So it’s not the phone, it’s Bell.

Adios Bell, I’m heading back to Rogers.

As for the Storm…needs major work. If you’re going to make a touch screen, make a touch screen, not a Half touch screen.
