The iPhone Dev-Team has announced that team member MuscleNerd will be using Qik to broadcast a live demo of an iPhone 3G being unlocked with their new tool, yellowsn0w. MuscleNerd will actually be using quick on a 1st Gen iPhone to stream the presentation.

From the iPhone Dev-Team Blog:

MuscleNerd will use Qik to broadcast a live video and audio stream (from an iPhone 2G) of an iPhone 3G being soft-unlocked with yellowsn0w. He’s in Florida for the holidays so there won’t actually be any snow in the live demo (although strangely enough if he were back home in Los Angeles he’d be very close to snow this week!).

It’s a shame there will be no snow. Especially yellow snow (eeew).

The live demo is scheduled to commence at 3PM EST. To get on board when it goes live, check out MuscleNerd’s twitter account. A URL will be ‘tweeted’ from his account once things are underway.

Note: Also looks like the dev team have updated their blog. Last time I checked it out, it was completely different. Good on ‘em for making some effort to improve the blog. It’s nothing crazy, but a part of me did appreciate all of the ones and zeroes in the background of the site :)
