Google has teamed up with North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) to help users track Santa’s journey around the world. For that purpose, the search giant is engaging tons of its resources, even more than last year when users were able to follow Santa on Google Maps, Google Earth, YouTube, and with the NORAD Tracks Santa iGoogle Gadget. This year, they’re adding mobile into the mix, making sure everyone with Google Maps for mobile installed can see Santa’s current location.

Santa and his Elves are still on the North Pole, but they should take off today at 3:00am PT. Afterwards, you can follow them by searching for “norad santa” on Google Maps for mobile.

In the meantime, if you want to learn more about “NORAD Tracks Santa” you can do that from this page. Or you may want to check out highlights from Santa’s last year’s trip. The video above speaks more than I can tell. ;)

Merry Christmas everyone!!!
