Even though Nokia (NYSE: NOK) has already two of its Flagship stores in China — one in Hong Kong and the other in Shanghai — that doesn’t stop them from opening more stores in the “world’s fastest growing economy.” As a matter of fact, the Finnish giant is preparing to open 10 additional specialty stores in Beijing. These, however, won’t be operated by Nokia — rather, they will be a result of a partnership agreement with a local mobile phone chain store – D. Phone, which will be the one managing all the stores on Nokia’s behalf. That being said, I wouldn’t expect to see these competing with Nokia’s own Flagship stores in terms of the interior design and the whole shopping experience (Nokia Flagship stores rock!), despite the fact all of them [stores] will have the appearance and brand logo of a Nokia store.

The first of the stores is set to open in Beijing’s Zhongguancun commercial area, where is the highest concentrations of mobile phone chain stores in the city. Apparently, the store will occupy an area of more then 130 square meters, which sounds a lot for a dense area such as Zhongguancun.

We’ve no information about the other 9 stores, but we guess these will also occupy important city locations. As soon as we hear something new, we’ll let you know, k?
