UK: Vodafone and Orange to collaborate further?

According to Guardian.co.uk, Vodafone (NYSE: VOD) and Orange are close to completing a deal to share their networks costs in the UK. Figures being mooted inlcude those up to £1bn as the potential saving – something that I am sure will be met with happy thoughts from the cost-savers. As you might remember, I posted earlier this month on the potential cost-saving plans that could occur at Vodafone.

Apparently the agreement goes on top of an existing agreement, but this one will mean integrating 3G networks, and potentially some roaming also.
