Microsoft has released an updated version of its Windows Live Messenger for Symbian S60 devices. The new version renders perfectly on the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic’s screen, as you can see from the image above. The same should be true for the Nokia N97, once it hits the market.

I won’t go into details explaining Windows Live Messenger’s functionality. As you know, it’s a mobile client for Microsoft’s popular instant messaging service, which allows you to chat with your MSN/Windows Live buddies while on-the-go. In addition, the mobile client also gives you access to your Windows Live Hotmail email account…

Interested? Here’s a link from where you can download Windows Live Messenger (box.net) and take your IM with you, no matter where you go.

Wow, you know a lot of Linas, Dusan. ;)

Did you even bother checking the download once? I guess not, coz you have simply copied the post from the guru. I even posted it on guru’s forum.

The download is for Lonely cat game’s Slick multi IM app. It is not the Windows Live for Nokia which gives you access to the WLM and the hotmail.

    Expected better research from intomobile.

You’re right Alsiladka, had a bad day and didn’t wanted to bother with Box.net. It’s fixed now… :)

  • Alsiladka

Even better! Fixed with a file dating back to 2007, which is actually one of the old versions of Windows Live which was available for S60v3, as the name of the archive suggests.

If you cannot find the S60v5 version, why not pull up the download link?

  • TommyTott

    This is not for S60v5.
The only version I have found is a Chineese one, and it sucks.

  • ea

  • znik

Why does the install files say “Last modified 2007″? How can this be the new version, and why is the name v3 when it is for v5?
