After posting an innocent bit of outreach to the developer community in his blog, Andrew Shebanow, Web Services dude at Palm (NSDQ: PALM), found himself not only overwhelmed with ideas about how to handle the App Catalog, but also at the forefront of Palm’s developer PR strategy. The recently-launched Palm Developer Network Blog promises to be a hub for both developers and end-users to voice their opinions on how the on-device software outlet should run, as well as plenty of other developer-related issues. Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s been less than kind to their third-party software writers, but Android has their crowd tickled pink with attention, and if Palm can meet Google (NSDQ: GOOG)’s standard of open communication and collaboration, they’ll be sitting pretty for their first WebOS handset.
