Mobigloo Introduces ‘Storm Level Pro’ App for the BlackBerry Storm

By James Falconer on Saturday, January 17th, 2009 at 10:47 AM PST In Applications, BlackBerry, RIM (Research in Motion)

The folks at Mobigloo have released what appears to be the first real ‘utility’ app for the BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) Storm that looks, well.. Useful! Storm Level Pro enables you to use your BlackBerry Storm as a level or a ruler. You might be surprised how often you’d need this, especially if you’re the ‘handyman’ or ‘handywoman’ around the house!

Key features of Storm Level Pro:

  • Calibration for maximum accuracy
  • Level for both vertical and horizontal measures
  • Automatically adjusts to portrait and landscape modes
  • Includes 2 rulers, inches and centimeters

What a great little app. It makes full use of the Storm’s built-in accelerometer, and will (ok, should) run flawlessly on your Storm…And for only $4.99 you can grab a copy for yourself.

Check out the video above and head over to CrackBerry for more details.
