Spb Software has updated its popular Spb Weather app for Windows Mobile. Aside from boasting the improved, easier to use, finger-friendly user interface, version 2.0 adds new features to the mix, including:
- 3D globe with animated forecasts – mobile weather forecasts are visualized similar to those on TV, with an option to zoom in/out.
- Reliable forecast powered by Foreca, the trusted provider of MSN.com. Additionally, the program also supports forecasts from US National Weather Service and Gismeteo, plus users still have the flexibility to create and use custom weather source templates.
- Current weather conditions data is retrieved from METAR, special aviation related weather observations data format, sourced from Weather.gov.
Spb Weather 2.0 is compatible with Windows Mobile Professional 5.0 or higher; all Windows Mobile screen resolutions are supported. The application costs $19.95 ($9.95 upgrade from previous versions), although a free 15-day trial version is also available. Finally, it’s important to add that users of Spb Traveler 2.x are also eligible to get Spb Weather 2.0 free of charge.
