The Palm Treo Pro has fast become the gotta-have Treo handset from Palm. The Palm Treo 800w is already old news, giving way to the Palm Treo Pro as the flagship smartphone from Palm. And, with Sprint rumored to be preparing to launch their own-branded Treo Pro before the end of January, we’re seeing the handset popping up in every corner of the blogosphere.

EngadgetMobile follows up on WMExpertsin-the-wild shots of the Sprint Palm Treo Pro with their own Sprint Treo Pro unboxing gallery. And, not to be outdone, the folks at PhoneArena managed to get their lucky mitts on a Sprint Palm Treo Pro for a quick-and-dirty photo-op.

From initial impressions, the Sprint Palm Treo Pro is said to largely mirror its GSM-brethren in terms of size and feature sets. Of course, there’s no telling what’s under the Sprint Treo Pro’s hood until we get official word from Sprint, but we’d be willing to bet that there’s a lot of similarity between the GSM and CDMA Treo Pros.

We’re still looking for Sprint to launch their Treo Pro before the end of the month. With a little luck, Sprint and Palm will get their act together and announce the Sprint Treo Pro within the week.

Sprint will also be the exclusive Palm Pre carrier in the US, so it remains to be seen how well the Sprint Treo Pro will fare against the more intuitive and sleekly designed Palm Pre and its Web OS.
