If the latest rumors coming out of SEMC Blog are on point, we may see the unannounced Sony Ericsson “Frances” launching under as the Sony Ericsson C903. The 5 megapixel Cybershot cameraphone that you see in the picture below is obviously not the real deal, but it could very well be a somewhat accurate depiction of the actual Sony Ericsson C903 Frances.

If true, the Sony Ericsson Frances will hit Sony Ericsson’s Cybershot lineup as the down-range sibling to the Sony Ericsson C905. The Sony Ericsson Frances is expected to sport a sliding form-factor and should offer Cybershot features like PhotoFix, Face Detection, and Smile Shutter. And, to help the handset stand-out amidst the growing competition, the Sony Ericsson C903 Frances will feature an active-lens setup like those we see in Sony’s point-and-shoot Cybershot cameras – a nice touch for the detail-oriented cameraphone lovers out there.

A 2.4-inch display and aGPS round out the feature-set. Look for the Sony Ericsson Frances to be announced at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, with ship-dates aimed at the end of Q2 2009. Pricing details? You wish.

More to come from Barcelona!
