LG to pre-install Scanbuy’s 2D barcode app on its camera phones, too

Some time ago we wrote about Scanbuy and their deal with Samsung which agreed to pre-install ScanLife 2D barcode app on its camera phones. Now we have another handset maker joining the wave – South Korean LG, now the third largest mobile phone maker in the world.
The first device with Scanbuy’s app pre-installed is KF310 and it’s already available in Spain. Additional phones will be introduced in other markets over the coming months.
Commenting on the announcement, Scanbuy’s CEO Jonathan Bulkeley said: “We are thrilled to announce this agreement with LGE. Their support will substantially assist in bringing 2D barcode technology to mobile subscribers around the world. Mobile data usage is increasing exponentially every day, and the ScanLife solution will make it easier than ever to discover and navigate to content from anywhere.”
As a reminder, Scanbuy’s ScanLife mobile application uses mobile phone’s camera to read all major 2D barcode formats which immediately connect the user to mobile content and information.
