Meet ‘Forknife’ The Android-powered robot!

Mobile phones have been used to control all kinds of robots in the past. But, we just couldn’t help but let out a chuckle when we heard that one enterprising robotics enthusiasts managed to marry Android to a robot. With a little coding and robotics know-how, Jeffrey Nelson put his T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) G1 to use as the brains behind his “Forknife” robot.

Macpod Software has posted the requisite robot-controlling code on their website. If you know what you what you’re doing in robotics, you too can use your T-Mobile G1 Android phone to control a home-made robot.
