Motorola i465 may be ugly as hell, but it’s their first QWERTY iDEN phone

I’m not sure is this part of Motorola (NYSE: MOT)’s efforts to grab the market share back, but I guess we could call this an innovative move. The American handset maker is apparently working on its first QWERTY keyboard-equipped iDEN phone. As you can see from the image above, the Moto i465 is ugly as hell, but considering that iDEN users don’t have much choice, it may be a winner, after all.
Anyway, don’t expect any brains from the i465. It doesn’t run Windows Mobile nor any other smartphone OS – Moto’s device a feature phone with a keyboard. Other specs include VGA camera, Bluetooth and of course, good ol’ push-to-talk functionality. Other than that, we’ve no clue when will Motorola release this handset, nor which carriers will pick it up. We only hope true iDEN fans will appreciate text messaging. Motorola seems to hope so as well…

First, shmirst! BlackBerry 8350i, yo!
No Kidding … there have been 4 iDEN blackberrys released over the years … 3 of them full qwerty. I would hardly call this the first … It is the first from MOTO
