speaknoevil Nokia Releases Cure for Curse of SilenceYou might remember that particularly nasty Curse of Silence bug the plagued S60 devices last month. Well, the peeps at Nokia (NYSE: NOK) have provided a free SMS Cleaner to ensure that your phone stays safe. The original discovery caused quite the stir, as once a particularly formatted SMS message was received the device would be unable to get any other texts or e-mails. Right on for fixing this one in a timely fashion, Nokia!

From what I know through talks with Tobias Engel who originally found this ‘Curse of Silence’, emails have NEVER been affected! SMS and MMS were, in fact.
Around the beginning of this year, there was also already a freeware tool available to remove the curse. Its name is “FortiCleanUp” from the developer FortiGuard.
