LG Renoir gets tortured, lives to tell about it

That LG Renoir, it sure is one tough cookie! Even with what we have to presume is a delicate 8 megpixel image sensor tucked under its apparently hard shell, the LG Renoir managed to survive all kinds of torture testing at the hands of Mobile Mail. We’re talking some pretty hard-core torture testing here, so it’s only fair that we give the fine folks at LG a thumbs-up for the LG Renoir’s hardy industrial design.

The LG Renoir you see in the below videos was pushed to its operating limits as it went through a series of test that had it chilling (quite literally) in sub-zero temps for 12 hours, dropped on the floor (which, for this round of tests, is pretty tame), mashed with a foot, tumbled for 15 minutes in a clothes drier, submerged in wine, smeared with dust, and even run over with a Ford Focus. Through it all, the LG Renoir continued to function and even managed to keep snapping away with its 8-megapixel Schneider-Kreuznach camera!

If you happen to need a high-end cameraphone that can take a seriously licking and keep taking great pictures, the LG Renoir looks to be up to the task!

One more video after the break!
