Obama Packs Verizon BlackBerry 8830 World Edition on the Job

The jaw-clenching drama of President Barack Obama’s phone situation is settling down, now that we see he’s happily thumbing away on his BlackBerry outside the White House. We still don’t know if he’ll pick up a Sectera Edge, but officials state that with the enhanced security on this particular BlackBerry, Obama will be conducting both business and pleasure. A big concern has been keeping messages archived for the sake of the Presidential Records Act, but there are plenty of solutions out there that can keep everything saved. Getting to use the ‘Berry has come at a cost, at any rate – apparently a “compromise” was struck to allow Obama the handset. Maybe Gary the IT Guy gets to use Air Force One on weekends…
