THQ WirelessThere were some rumors flying around the Interwebs that THQ may be shutting down its mobile division. Luckily for all the mobile gamers around the world, these were proven to be false. The game publisher is only restructuring its wireless business.

THQ issued statement saying that they are restructuring their wireless subsidiary in Europe. “That’s all that has happened. The remainder of the working based THQ operation were unaffected by this restructure in the wireless subsidiary,” THQ’s representative added.

As a result, such titles as “50 Cent: Blood on the Sand,” “Dawn of War 2″ and “Legends of WrestleMania” are still on schedule.

However, not all is shiny at THQ. In November, the company closed five of its studios (Paradigm Entertainment, Mass Media, Helixe, Locomotive Games, and Sandblast Games) and laid off staff at both Rainbow Studios and Juice Games.
