Toshiba posts official video of Toshiba TG01, makes us envious

The Toshiba (OTCPK: TOSBF) TG01’s slim profile, huge touchscreen display, and powerful Snapdragon silicon make it a Windows Mobile smartphone to be reckoned with. Barely unveiled, the Toshiba TG01 has already climbed to the top of our must-watch list. In fact, the TG01 could very well tread on turf carved out by the iPhone and iPhone 3G.
Toshiba has today posted their own official video of the Toshiba TG01 in all its hihg-end glory. We’ve already seen the Toshiba TG01 doing its multimedia-thing on video, but there’s nothing like an official Toshiba TG01 video straight from Toshiba themselves.
The video above doesn’t really tell us anything new about the Toshiba TG01. We already knew it came in at an impressively thin 9.9mm. We knew about the custom Windows Mobile 6.1 UI overlay. The Snapdragon internals running a 1Ghz CPU isn’t a surprise. Still, it’s nice to see the sleek handset in high-quality video.

Fail…
People don’t seem to get that the iPhone is a winner because it looks AWESOME and changes the landscape of mobile cell phones.
Stop copying the touchscreens…. either do something different or make something that is up to par with the iphone at the very least
Sheesh
I dont know how you see the iphone as a winner.. just because it “looks awesome” doesnt mean its a winner.
Yeaup the interface is excellent and so is the app store. but after adding all these apps, not only will the phone’s system slow down, but you cant multitask with the apps and thats bullshit.
-cannot copy/paste :: LOSER
-cannot send mms texts :: LOSER
-cannot send or receive files via bluetooth :: LOSER
-cannot video record :: LOSER
Those are key when purchasing a smartphone. So if a smartphone doesnt have those basic features, it is definately not a winner.
Im not hating on apple, just the owners for not realising the iphone isnt that great.
Sheesh
That video is not officially from Toshiba. All I got was a first look preview from megawhat.tv which is a popular show that reviews all sorts of gadgets n cellphones. They are professional alrite.
I don’t see what Toshiba has to do with this video. Kindly credit where it is due. In this case, it’s not Toshiba but Megawhat.tv
thanks
i must bring to attention the fact that this will have flash support according to what i have read and the iphone obviously still does not. That is big. Your also looking at a much faster machine better camera better screen and a so far good looking UI. I think apple will have to do something soon with a new iphone. I think toshiba has got something.
Will it run Java? Will it tether with laptop?
Holden=fails miserably!
1.touchscreens were around BEFORE the iphone!
2.Cut and paste were around BEFORE the iphone!
3.running 2 programs at once BEFORE the iphone!
Iphone has some neat functions but lacks miserably in other features that most other, and previos touch screen owners tok for granted!
Not to mention this Toshiba will have an actual full version of Active sync for people, will run flash, with run Java, will have stereo bluetooth, will have cut and paste, will run more than 1 program at once(which will allow it to actually BE a push email phone). It can also record video and sound, make video phone calls (fun but I agree not widely useful).
