Nova Media’s iCON 431 3G USB Stick looks like its designed for Mac and it is!

Nova Media has recently unveiled iCON 431, a sleek 3G USB modem with memory stick functionality for Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) computers. The HSPA modem supports data transfers with up to 7.2 Mbps download and up to 2.0 Mbps upload, depending on the network’s capabilities.
Just like most of modern USB modems, the iCON 431 also includes a microSD card slot, allowing its buyers to use it not only as a modem, but also as a flash drive. Moreover, the device is capable of software upgrades and is thus prepared to support even higher upload speeds once carriers upgrade their networks. As a result, at one point in time you will be able to send (upload) files at 5.76 Mbps!
As for the software required, the iCON 431 comes with the Internet connect wizard “launch2net,” which includes connection settings for most mobile network providers worldwide.
Nova Media’s modem is already available from the company’s website for 168 EUR. In order to use it, your computer needs to run Mac OS X 10.4.11, 10.5.2 or higher and you’ll also need a data-enabled SIM card.
Finally, it’s worth adding the software for Windows is also included in the box, but that’s not the point here as far as I can tell. Linux drivers can be obtained from Nova Media, as well…
