LCD Clock app turns your iPhone/iPod Touch into a real alarm clock

Here’s a neat iPhone/iPod Touch app that turns your shiny device into a full blown alarm clock. It’s called LCD Clock and it’s available on AppStore for $0.99.
Once started, the application will show very familiar user interface, mimicking good ol’ alarm clocks. In that sense, I guess it’s best to use it in conjunction with some iPhone/iPod Touch dock.
But it’s not just the regular alarm LCD Clock provides. You can easily flick around and check the upcoming U.S. or Japanese holidays, as well as birthdays and anniversaries. If you’re in Japan, the app can also display the “Rokuyou” calendar, which is kinda neat.
Enough said, here’s an AppStore link (iTunes).

This is cool, but should I be afraid of LCD burn-in? It seems like that’d be a danger of apps like this that display the same image on your phone for hours on end.
There is a point there, but as I said – it’s best to use it when iPhone is in the cradle of some sort.
Nice, but check out Voice controlled alarm – you can shout at it to turn it off/snooze!
Works when phone is locked also, unlike most alarm apps.
