Nokia 5800 NAM coming around February 26th for $399?

Even though you can already grab yourself the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic in Nokia Flagship Stores in Chicago and New York, these are not the one you should pursue if you live in the States. The problem is in the 3G frequencies used, which are tailored to work with European 3G networks. Simply put – you won’t have 3G anywhere in North America with this “kind” of Tube.
That may change soon as we’re hearing the Nokia (NYSE: NOK) 5800 XpressMusic with AT&T (NYSE: T) 3G bands (also known as the “NAM” version) will start selling around February 26th. The price is set for $399 and that’s without any contracts signed.
As we haven’t heard anything official from Nokia, we’re hoping there’s some merit to this story, which BTW is coming from The Nokia Blog. And they seem to know what they’re talking about…
