telus-contestTelus has just launched a cool contest for Canadian small businesses. To enter, entrepreneurs simply need to register and play. The grand prize is a $20,000 technology makeover for the business. Winners will be randomly drawn… and monthly drawings will be held for $1,000 technology prizes up until the grand prize drawing at the end of October.

To get started, a simple registration form is required. Fill that out, and move on. The next page will take you to the standard ‘refer a friend’ page. Do that if you wish… and push on. Click the ‘Play Game’ button to continue.

The first mini-game I was presented with was a simple matching game. Match the identical pairs of pictures in an allotted time. I scored 222 in this section. Not so good, but I was caught between playing the game and answering about 5 Skype messages :)

From there you’re taken through some math puzzles, an image sequencing game, and a memorization game. At the end of the process you’re taken to a handy results page that shows you how you did. You can also check the leaderboard to see your score in comparison to others.

The contest is open to all Canadian small businesses, and the deadline for submissions is October 30th 2009… So you have some time here… But will want to get in on the action to make sure your name is in for the monthly $1,000 drawings :) To get started head on over to http://playthegame.telus.com

Thanks Kristen!
