Call it the ‘Alex Rodriguez’: BlackBerry 9300 Basically the 8900 on Steroids

blackberry alex rodriguez Call it the Alex Rodriguez: BlackBerry 9300 Basically the 8900 on SteroidsI’m sure you recall the rumors dropping all across the blogosphere last week around the BlackBerry 9300. The latest offering from RIM is said to be the 3G’d-out version of the 3G-less 8900. I like the sounds of that.

The 9300 is also supposed to have a higher-res screen in comparison to its younger sibling (8900). The 8900 has a 480×360 display, but no exact details have dropped on the 9300’s screen as of yet. It should come wiht a faster processor, support GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA. WiFi and Bluetooth are almost assured as well. In a nutshell, the 9300 looks to be the 8900 on steroids. Alex Rodriguez would be proud. In fact, perhaps the device should be codenamed ‘Alex’ instead of ‘Gemini’ or whatever the heck it’s named at the moment :)

My question to you today is this… If you already owned or are planning on purchasing a BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) 8900… Would you drop it in an instant for the 3G 9300? Or would you ban the 9300 for life and carry on business-as-usual with the reliable and honest 8900? :P

P.S. Sorry Alex… I had to.

This is what I wanted in the first place. I am going to get my 8900 today, but will get the 9300 as soon as it launches. The question is whether T-Mobile will get it or will AT&T grab it the next time around.

if A-Rod (A-Roid?) had used steroids i would have expected him to get a lot more “huge” like Bonds of McGuire
