JAJAHJAJAH, the company we know as a provider of low-cost and easy-to-use callback solutions, announced its new offering that aims to turn the iPod Touch into a “fully functioning mobile phone for consumers.” The new capability, available as a white label solution, enables carriers and other interested parties to launch the service under their own brand and provide their customers with the ability to make low-cost phone calls and send text messages to any phone in the world from their iPod Touch. Naturally a microphone headset (available from Apple) and working WiFi connection are also required so that iPod Touch can be used for calling/text messaging and connecting to JAJAH’s servers.

From JAJAH’s release:

JAJAH’s next generation IP communications platform gives its partners everything they need to launch the service immediately. This includes the application itself, plus the entire suite of management services, from termination of the calls and quality control, right through to billing and processing payments in 200 countries around the world.

And that’s not all. JAJAH says that in the coming months they’ll announce a range of new data communication services, applications and partnerships. Now that I’m thinking Boingo Wireless and other WiFi hotspot operators sound like a perfect fit for JAJAH’s offering. There’s an idea! :)

Jajah new feature to convert your iPod into a communication device make it more perfect application then any other Voip service provider, there IM service is also good but if we compare it with other Voip applications i.e fring, Truephone and vopium the only feature missing is “Sync” which i guess only Vopium is offering. Jajah should also make a move towards sync service to stay on top.
