Paramount and Freeverse bring Days of Thunder to AppStore

Earning an additional buck or two on the existing franchise is always a good business. Paramount knows that, hence they’ve partnered with Freeverse to bring the mobile game based on their once popular movie, Days of Thunder, to the Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) iPhone.
The good thing about this title is that it’s quite affordable, costing only a buck (for the opening weekend, at least). That, however, doesn’t mean it sucks. Quite the contrary or at least I may not be an expert for racing games. From what I can tell, Days of Thunder looks quite decent, allowing you to control the car by moving your iPhone/iPod Touch around, thanks to the built-in accelerometer.
There are 14 race cars to win/buy and 39 races, covering 12 unique tracks in six different circuits: Amateur, Qualifying, Semi-Pro, Pro, Superstar, and Endurance. As you progress through the Story Mode and earn achievements, you can unlock new tracks. In addition, five original music tracks are there to “enhance the action-packed gameplay.”
