SHAPE Services announced that their GPSed app is now available for iPhone, allowing Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s handset users to share track and position in real-time with their social networks buddies. Tracks are traced on Google (NSDQ: GOOG) Maps and stored online at GPSed.com website.

In addition, users can pin photos from their Picasa and Flickr accounts to tracks at the exact places where they were taken.

The first version of GPSed native iPhone app is designed to mimic handheld GPS receivers, and in that sense “traditional PND user” will love it. Next version, however, promises a bit improved UI to “suit the tastes of iPhone fashion addicts.”

As of February 2009, GPSed has 36,873 registered users, 53,735 tracks in 160 countries and 27,342 photos attached to tracks. Aside from working on the iPhone, the mobile application is also available for BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM), Windows Mobile and J2ME phones…
