Nokia Comes With Music

We’ve almost missed this. It’s not Mobile World Congress related, but it’s important nonetheless.

Nokia (NYSE: NOK) announced that their Nokia Music Store is now available to the people of Austria and Switzerland. As usual, aside from offering music from the major labels, the Finnish giant also made sure local artists are in the database, as well. Individual tracks cost 1 EUR/1.5 CHF, while whole albums can be purchased for 10 EUR/15 CHF.

In related news, just as we expected, Nokia is bringing its Comes With Music initiative to Singapore. A whole range of devices bundled with the “unlimited music downloads for a year” service will be offered. Among the phones that will participate in the program are the Nokia N96, Nokia N85 and Nokia N79, as well as the Nokia 5320 XpressMusic and 5220 XpressMusic devices. In addition, consumers in Singapore will be the first in the world to get their hands on a Comes With Music-enabled Nokia 5800 XpressMusic when it hits the stores.
