lg-booth-tour-mobile-world-congress-1LG’s booth on the Fira Barcelona show-floor was impressive, as always. As one of the Top 5 mobile phone makers in the world, we’d expect no less from LG. As usually, the Korean phone manufacturer came to Mobile World Congress to play some ball. LG showcased just about every single mobility product they have under the sun, blasting show-goers with a product lineup that includes just-announced hardware alongside months-old devices.

The LG KM900 Arena was the belle of LG’s MWC-ball. The touchscreen handset sports a 3-inch WVGA touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera, 3G data connectivity (HSDPA), WiFi, GPS, 8G on-board storage and LG’s new S-Class 3D UI. As a slate-based touchscreen, the LG KM900 Arena’s iPhone-roots are apparent. The S-Class 3D UI reeks heavily of the iPhone OS, but that might actually be a good thing – the iPhone OS is lauded as the pinnacle of usability and delivers an unrivalled user experience, why wouldn’t you want to follow in those footsteps? But, don’t let the LG Arena’s iPhone-esque looks fool you into the thinking the handset is just another iPhone knock-off. The LG Arena is being positioned as the company’s premier touchscreen handset for 2009.

The rest of LG booth was peppered with various handsets, accessories, and demonstrations of the S-Class 3D UI. Check out the action below!
