LG to pre-install GyPSii software on its devices

LG and GyPSii announced a partnership to embed GyPSii’s “location-enabled mobile digital lifestyle application” on a range of new mobile devices.

Under the agreement, LG mobile phone users will have access to utilize GyPSii services — including user generated content sharing, friend finding and social networking application, as well as the ability to view it all on a map — within a single user interface. The service will be provided in partnership with Intrinsyc, LG’s navigation solution provider.

On the other hand, the two companies will share advertising and sponsorship revenues generated by GyPSii users on the new LG devices. The range will first launch across LG’s Windows Mobile smartphones, followed by Android and java-enabled devices…
