Quickoffice for Android

Quickoffice’s popular mobile office suite is officially announced for Android-powered smartphones, T-Mobile G1 aka HTC Dream, at the moment. Unfortunately we’re still not talking about a full blown, feature packed software here. The initial version of Quickoffice for Android allows viewing of Excel spreadsheets and Word documents, only. Editing, I guess, is reserved for some future versions.

Additionally, Quickoffice for Android also features file manager, making it easy for users to navigate through folders on a memory card, rename and delete files, view properties and sort documents by name, type, size or date modified.

Now the question is – is viewing of files worth 8 bucks to you? If so, prepare to pour out $7.99 as soon as Quickoffice hits the Android Market.
