
Synchronica announced a new functionality within its Mobile Gateway 4.0 solution that pushes social networking and news updates to any mass-market mobile phone.
Among the supported services are Twitter, Flickr, Picasa, LinkedIn and Plaxo; as well as thousands of other news, financial and sporting feeds.
As with the push-email, these updates are automatically pushed to the user’s mobile phone whenever new content is made available. The integration is based on Mobile Gateway’s standard JCR-compliant plug-in architecture, connecting to any site that supports RSS feeds…
