Google Demos a T-Mobile G2?
By James Falconer on Friday, February 20th, 2009 at 7:43 AM PST In Android, GPhone, HTC, Rumors, T-Mobile, Vodafone
While speaking at a conference earlier today, Google (NSDQ: GOOG) was busy showing off Gmail running on Android. All well and good, but something was a tad strange about the presentation. Check out the image I’ve included here. Doesn’t that look like a T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) logo on the handset? Sure does! I thought the HTC Magic was supposed to be exclusive to Vodafone (NYSE: VOD)? Perhaps this is the T-Mobile G2 we’re looking at here? Sure looks like it.
There’s no telling if this was done carelessly or on purpose. No doubt Google and T-Mobile both want to get the ‘buzz’ goin’ surrounding the G2. With this little gem they’ll definitely generate a good buzz… They got me to write about it anyway
If you haven’t checked it out already, be sure to load up Will’s hands-on with the HTC Magic.

if they release this phone… ITS F&^%$#@ UGLY!!!! ugliest phone i ever seen. I have the G1, and it is UGLY also… The G2 better be a good looking phone.. i love the all-digital keyboard… the flip and slide crap is rediculous… what part of IPHONE rules do these people NOT understand? this above phone (if truely the g1) is UGLY and i will be very UN-happy!
i agree. i’ve been scanning the net for weeks now hoping for a belter looking new phone on tmobile to upgrade my G1. what a let down. all my mates are flashing their iphones, and there i am with this brick in my hand because i wanted to be different. please dont let this be the G2. HTC! get yer finger out! give us a nice looking phone. not something aimed at kids. reminds me of Duplo lego. lol
