Build-a-lot for Android

Not surprisingly, Glu is taking advantage of the newly unveiled option to offer paid apps in the Android Market. Their latest game is Build-a-lot, which took the casual games industry by storm in 2007, garnering several awards including No. 1 “Action/Arcade Game of the Year” on Big Fish Games and “Strategy Game of the Year” on RealArcade. Originally, the game was developed for online audiences by HipSoft.

Those not familiar should know that Build-a-lot is a strategy game where players build, buy, sell and rent properties to become a real estate mogul like let’s say Donald Trump. Players can flip houses for quick cash or sit back and collect rental income. Earn enough, and they can work their way into commercial properties, build up towns and eventually master the market.

Some of the game features include 6 unique types of houses (mansions and castles included), 2 modes of play (career and casual), more than 35 levels in 8 unique neighborhoods, and ability to construct a variety of fun buildings like cinemas, ice rinks and fire stations.

As a reminder, this is Glu’s third Android titles. Previous two games, Bonsai Blast and Brain Genius Deluxe, were offered as free downloads through Android Market.
