Palm Pre goes European!

Palm Pre. Just the mention of the new smartphone from ailing cellphone maker Palm (NSDQ: PALM) gets smartphone fans worked up in a feverish tizzy. Those of you with an itch for anything related to the Palm Pre will be happy to hear that Palm seems to be readying their marketing machine for a full-scale blitz on the global smartphone space.
The Palm Pre has just gone European.

Palm has posted the Palm Pre with the requisite “Coming Soon” status in Palm’s regional websites in the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain – with EVDO support, no less! Upon close inspection of the Palm Pre image posted to Palm’s Euro sites, it looks like Palm is either going to preserve EVDO support for the non-CDMA using European continent (where EVDO is probably just as foreign an acronym as TARP), or Palm’s marketing team forgot to Photoshop a new image of the Palm Pre with a “3G” or “H” icon.
Either way, with the Palm Pre going European, it’s only a matter of time before we see Palm launching the Palm Pre in the US exclusively through Sprint (NYSE: S). Go ahead and hold your breath, we’ll do the same.
