Following on Palm (NSDQ: PALM)’s WebOS MOJO SDK development book announcement, it seems Palm has finally gone super official with their Palm Pre-powering MOJO SDK. Palm has posted a new video tutorial that walks us through the WebOS’s development specifics. The video is just a few minutes shy of an hour, and outlines the structure of the WebOS and its UI components in excruciating detail.
The highlight of the video tutorial is Palm Software CTO Mitch Allen building a WebOS application using nothing more than TextMate and Safari, proving that developing for the WebOS platform will be simple and straightforward. It remains to be seen just how that plays out for the Palm Pre. Will the WebOS be flooded with sub-par applications, or will we see a rush of quality WebOS web-apps?
Time will tell…

its not webos web-apps they are native apps created for webos using the ajax,html5 etc those basic tools already present in a web browser please get it right folks
It was a very simple intro to building a webOS application…they demonstrated the basic structure of a stage with multiple scenes and assistants, and even threw in a UI widget.
