PodTrapper Brings Podcasts to your BlackBerry

After getting the Bold, I had decided to ditch the iPod Touch in favour of using my BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) as my primary music device (no sense lugging around two gadgets when one will do), but the lack of integrated podcast support definitely stung. Even if I still used iTunes to pull in all my podcasts, there were the issues of syncing software; Windows Media Player was awkward, and it was a hassle navigating through Desktop Manager and go through Roxio). In the case of video podcasts, formatting was a nightmare, and pretty much killed my regular Diggnation viewing. What I really needed was wireless downloading, which PodTrapper happily provides.
The interface isn’t what you’d call pretty, but it’s extremely practical, includes a large, categorized podcast directory, and above all, gets my podcasts over the air. There’s a 30-day trial available, and retails for $9.99, which, as far as I’m concerned, is well worth it.
